On 29 April, the Register Committee of the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR) found that the European University Association’s Institutional Evaluation Programme continues to comply substantially with the ESG (Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area).

The Committee renewed IEP’s inclusion on the Register until January 2029, as reported on EQAR website. The decision follows an external targeted review of IEP conducted by the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) between December 2022 and January 2024 (see report).

Since its launch in 1994, IEP has supported over 340 institutions in 50 countries in developing strategic leadership and capacity to manage change through a process of voluntary institutional evaluations. The programme prides itself on its context-sensitive approach, offering comprehensive, improvement-oriented institutional evaluations conducted by a team of experienced higher education leaders. Registrations for the next round of evaluations are still open and additional information is available here.
