The STREAM online training platform, which provides training materials based on the European Recognition Manual for Higher Education Institutions (EAR-HEI manual), is open for a second round of training. The platform is specifically geared towards admissions officers working in higher education institutions in the European Higher Education Area. In addition to the training materials, platform members can use the “real cases forum” to post questions on specific cases and ask advice from peers across Europe. The platform will remain open until 19 August and participation is free of charge.
The platform, hosted by Nuffic, the Dutch organisation for internationalisation in education, has been updated and expanded as part of the Erasmus+ co-funded “Spotlight on recognition” project. The project aims to provide university staff involved in recognition processes and decisions with information, training and peer support to self-assess and enhance their recognition practices’ compliance with the Lisbon Recognition Convention. One element of this approach is the organisation of events, such as the webinar “Smooth recognition of academic qualifications: The role of quality assurance”, taking place on 29 April at 14.00-15.00 CEST.
To stay informed about the “Spotlight on recognition” project activities, join the “Academic recognition in the European Higher Education Area” LinkedIn group, follow the hashtag #SPOT_EU on Twitter and subscribe to the recognition mailing list.
