The European University Association takes a keen interest in the European Neighbourhood Policy. EUA cooperates with higher education institutions and organisations in the eastern and southern neighbourhood in order to foster dialogue and mutual understanding, exchange knowledge and expertise, build capacities and encourage greater system compatibility. It has members in all countries of the eastern neighbourhood; in the southern neighbourhood, it joins forces with university associations and networks through the the Arab-Euro Conference on Higher Education (AECHE) platform.
