Also outlined in the paper are developments in the Irish higher education sector in particular regard to online learning along with the changes that have recently been undertaken in one university to reflect an increased emphasis on module and academic programme review processes. The move towards a blended learning approach combining traditional and digital methodologies is also discussed. The paper concludes with a summary of successes and challenges.
