Accepting University Accounting Practices under Horizon Europe - Strategic and practical recommendations

As negotiations move forward in hammering out the design of Horizon Europe, this EUA briefing serves as a practical document for policy makers. It provides strategic and practical recommendations for a simpler and more efficient use of resources under the Framework Programme for Research and Innovation.
The recommendations are based on solid data provided by university practitioners from 12 European countries. Their direct experience managing national and EU-funded research projects are used to explore possibilities for a better alignment of practices between the EU and the national level in Horizon Europe. EUA’s work points to improved acceptance of institutional accounting practices as a major step towards EU funding simplification.
