It monitored the Brexit negotiations and supported member universities in understanding how it will affect their futures. EUA also represented the voice of universities on major topics influencing policy makers on Open Access energy and the environment diversity and inclusion as well as the role of universities in accomplishing the sustainable development goals. It also focused heavily on university autonomy and academic freedom.
The 2018 Annual Report provides an overview of the many initiatives that EUA brought forward over the course of the year. The Association conducted these activities on behalf of and with support from its members.
