In this statement the Association expresses its support for Plan S especially as the initiative is in line with objectives outlined in EUA’s “Towards Full Open Access in 2020” (June 2017). In general EUA welcomes the Plan’s ambitions to turn Open Access into reality by 2020. However while the plan develops a bold vision for the transition it hinges on turning principles into practice.
