The nominations for the 2020 edition of the UNESCO King Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa Prize for the use of Information and Communication Technologies in education are open until 18 December 2020 (midnight, Paris time).

Funded by the Kingdom of Bahrain and established in 2005, the Prize rewards projects that use new technologies to enhance teaching, learning and overall education performance. The theme of the 2020 edition is “The use of Artificial Intelligence to enhance the continuity and quality of learning”.

Like every year, the prize is consistent with UNESCO’s mandate and values, and advocates for responsible and ethical use of information and communication technologies in line with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its Goal 4 on education.
