There are currently two new senior positions available for anyone interested in working in the Irish higher education sector:
1. The Irish Universities Association (IUA) opened a vacancy for a Programme lead for developing a Multi-Campus Micro-Credentials (MC2) system in Irish universities. The deadline for applications is 6 November 2020.
The selected candidate will be working with IUA member universities, national quality assurance and qualifications agency, and a broad range of enterprise partners, to establish a national framework for ECTS-bearing, quality-assured micro-credentials, and facilitate the development of a broad programme of flexibly delivered and accredited micro-credentials across the university system which will drive lifelong learning in Ireland.
2. The Technological Higher Education Association in Ireland (THEA) open a vacancy for a Project manager for the national recognition of prior learning project in higher education. The deadline for applications is 13 November 2020.
This job aims to build a consistent and coherent approach to recognition of prior learning (RPL) within and across the entire public higher education sector in Ireland. The project will see a significant shift in RPL policy, procedure and practice, that has transformative potential for Ireland’s education system to become an international leader in the field. The project will play a crucial role in delivering on a range of national and European policy objectives in lifelong learning and meeting skills needs.
