Do you hold a strategic role in shaping university R&I cooperation, within a European Universities alliance or beyond, at an EUA member university? Are you keen to contribute to the improvement of policies and framework conditions for R&I cooperation? And would like to exchange ideas with peers?

If so, we invite you to participate in our upcoming EUA workshop to discuss the challenges and opportunities in developing the R&I dimension of European Universities alliances. The workshop will take place online, via Zoom, on 25 March 2024, 10.00-12.30 CET. Join us to share your views and reflect together on the future direction of policies and funding.

With soon to be 60 alliances and more than 500 higher education institutions involved (including 311 EUA members at present), the European Universities Initiative has become an important driver for developments in the sector in recent years. We are now entering a new phase, in which the R&I dimension of the alliances may be further expanded. While the pilots are over and evaluations at different levels are still underway, discussions on how to support the R&I dimension of the alliances at European and national level are ongoing. Therefore, to help shape the future of the initiative in a way that is beneficial to the whole sector, EUA is organising a series of consultations with members to gather their views and experiences. The input gathered at the workshop will inform EUA’s positioning on the future of the European Universities Initiative and related European policies.

This is an exclusive opportunity for experts from EUA member universities. We are seeking participants who hold strategic roles in shaping R&I cooperation. Participation is limited to a maximum of 40 participants, and only one representative per institution. If registrations received exceed the event’s capacity, participants will be selected with due consideration for the diversity of the Association’s membership.
