The European University Association’s Council for Doctoral Education (EUA-CDE) is inviting applications from member universities to host key events in 2028.
Launched in 2008, EUA-CDE is now the largest European network in doctoral education and research training, covering more than 260 universities and institutions working in this field across 36 countries.
We are looking for EUA-CDE member universities that can partner with us to make our next events a memorable experience, while gaining international visibility for their own institution. This call covers two established events for the European doctoral education community, namely the EUA-CDE Annual Meeting and the EUA-CDE Thematic Workshop.
January 2028
The EUA-CDE Thematic Workshop offers EUA-CDE members an interactive platform to establish and intensify partnerships and to collaborate and exchange on practices, current trends and future challenges in doctoral education.

June 2028
The EUA-CDE Annual Meeting is the largest and most comprehensive European gathering on doctoral education and research training. It is an excellent opportunity to build new partnerships, exchange practices and interact with the doctoral education community, European and national policy makers, funding organisations and other stakeholders.
