As part of Denmark's Presidency of the Council of the European Union, Aalborg University together with international partners is hosting a conference on reforming research assessment on 3-4 December, 2025 at Tivoli Hotel & Congress Center in Copenhagen.
The conference is supported by the European Commission. EUA is part of the international stakeholder committee of the conference.
In today's knowledge economies, universities are expected to translate and disseminate research and innovation broadly, contributing to growth, competitiveness, better regulation, and quality of life. To stimulate the broader impact and uptake of research-based products and advice, incentives and metrics need to be aligned.
At this conference, the organizers together with the Danish Presidency and the European Commission will address the need for reforming research assessment, present progress on CoARA, and highlight drivers of change in the broader ecosystem of science, innovation, and technology.
The conference is primarily an in-person conference but if you are unable to attend in person or prefer to stream the conference, you have the opportunity to follow the majority of the conference online. All activities on Day 1 will be live-streamed. On Day 2 plenary sessions will be live-streamed. For more information see the programme.
