EUA webinar series – A new ERA for universities (III)

The next webinar in the European University Association’s series ‘A new ERA for universities’ will explore action 13, on the empowerment of universities, on 16 November 2023 from 10.30 to 12.00.

Action 13 aims to empower higher education institutions to develop in line with the ERA, and in synergy with the European Education Area. How is it progressing and what impact will it have on EUA members? We’ll hear from the European Commission, as well as EUA and the Coimbra Group for the university sector.

Speakers:

  • Stijn Delauré, Policy Officer, DG Research & Innovation, European Commission
  • Emmanuelle Gardan, Director, Coimbra Group
  • Anna-Lena Claeys-Kulik, Deputy Director, Policy Coordination and Foresight, EUA
  • Moderator: Stephane Berghmans, Director, Research & Innovation, EUA

Registration for the webinar is free of charge and open to EUA members only.

This event is the third of a series of webinars to demystify the new European Research Area (ERA). ERA is in the middle of its first Policy Agenda, with 17 ongoing ERA actions, and its next Policy Agenda is being shaped. In this context, what does ERA actually mean for universities? Why should university leaders care about ERA? And how can universities get involved nationally in shaping ERA? While the first webinar introduced the new ERA to EUA members, the series now turns to exploring the many ERA actions of high importance for universities and their future. The second webinar addressed action 4, on research careers.

The recordings of the first and second webinar of the series are now available. Please note that you can access them only if you have registered to at least one of the webinars.
