Interdisciplinarity for the Net-Zero transition

In the context of the 2022 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27), taking place in November in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, research & innovation stakeholders, including EUA, are holding a joint event on ‘Interdisciplinarity for the Net-Zero transition’ on Thursday, 3 November, from 14.00 to 17.00 CEST.

During three sessions in the course of the afternoon, panel discussions will show the importance of acting together, presenting concrete interdisciplinary actions for the Net-Zero Transition on three main topics:

  • The vision of research funders and universities.
  • Policy and the international perspective.
  • Acting together for the Net-Zero Transition.

Among the speakers will be EUA President Michael Murphy and Douglas Halliday (Durham University), representing EUA’s new Green Deal task-and-finish group, alongside leaders and experts from CESAER, the International Sustainable Campus Network (ISCN), Science Europe, the University of Strathclyde and the Network of Universities for the Capitals of Europe (UNICA).
