Digital skills – improving their provision

EUA’s feedback to the European Commission call for evidence

The European Commission is developing a set of non-binding commitments for EU member states regarding the provision of digital skills. This policy input summarises EUA’s input ahead of an eventual Council recommendation and recalls the critical importance of digital skills for a successful digital transformation.

EUA welcomes this opportunity to raise awareness, share evidence and information and facilitate cross border exchange and collaboration. Here, the Association also elaborates on how this could contribute to enhancing a more widely shared understanding at policy and practice levels of what skills are needed for the digital transformation, as well as the tangible role and contribution of the higher education sector.
