EUA member University of Aveiro (Portugal) has launched a call for applications for the position of the Rector.
The calendar of the various phases begins in March, with the presentation of applications, and ends in the first days of May with the election of candidates, held by the General Council.
The Rector is the highest governing body and external representation of the University. Presides over the Management Board and Scientific and Pedagogical Councils. The Rector is also responsible for conducting institutional policy, directing and representing the University, and speaking on its behalf.
The Rector's term of office lasts four years and is on a full-time basis. It can be renewed only once, for an equal period.
