Hybrid event: 7th Annual EURIE Summit

18 January 2022

On March 2-4, the 7th Annual EURIE Summit will take place as a hybrid event. There will be three days of virtual programming and three days of simultaneous on-site programming in Istanbul, Turkey.

The conference proposes over 50 sessions of online panels, plenaries and roundtables about trending topics in international education. There will also be a virtual Exhibition Area, where participants can network with colleagues from around the world and visit 100+ stands to develop their partnerships and business.

For in-person participants in Istanbul, special face-to-face activities such as networking events, workshops, roundtables, campus tours and FAM trips are planned. In-person participation includes all the virtual elements, plus these special face-to-face activities.

EUA experts Henriette Stöber, Luisa Bunescu and Thomas Estermann will be present at the event as speakers for a session on greening and environmental sustainability. They will discuss what is the role of universities in the transition towards carbon neutrality and sustainable societies. They will present results of the EUA 2021 survey conducted to map the different activities and approaches of universities to greening, as well as the latest EUA policy input on greening from a governance, funding and efficiency perspective. This session will not only highlight selected key findings from the two publications, but also discuss how institutions can overcome some of the obstacles.
