In November and December 2021, multiplier events will be hosted by Sapienza University of Rome in Italy, and by the Fundació Solidaritat UB in Spain, to present the results of UNI(di)VERSITY first output and the upcoming project activities. EUA is a partner of this project.
UNI(di)VERSITY builds upon the results of the inHERE project focused on supporting EU HEIs’ efforts to welcome refugee students and staff. The first result of the project, titled “Higher Education diversity strategies for migrant and refugee inclusion. The UNI(di)VERSITY Atlas of Inclusion”, presents a comparative analysis of 13 European Higher Education Institutions’ strategies for migrant and refugee inclusion as part of their social responsibility and diversity approach.
The event organised by the Fundació Solidaritat UB in Spain will take place on the 24th of November 2021, while the event organised by the Sapienza University of Rome in Italy, in collaboration with UNHCR and UNIMED, will take place on the 16th of December 2021. Both events represent an opportunity to reflect on the actions and strategies that can be implemented by universities to become more inclusive towards migrant and refugee students and, in general, on the role that higher education institutions can play in promoting inclusion and cultural diversity.
