Online survey: European Commission seeks your opinion on the “Curriculum Guidelines 4.0” initiative

08 October 2019

The European Commission’s agency for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs (DG GROW), together with the Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EASME) invite experts, stakeholders and interested partners to complete their second online survey in the context of the "Curriculum Guidelines 4.0" initiative. The deadline is 18 October.

The “Curriculum Guidelines 4.0” initiative, launched in January 2018, aims to contribute to increasing the quality and relevance of existing curricula and to promote better cooperation between industry and education and training organisations. The outcome of this initiative will play a prominent role in forming the EU policy making regarding the upskilling of manufacturing professionals.

The results of the first survey, conducted a year ago, indicated that the four elements of the education and training system that require the most substantial change are: strategy, collaboration, learning environment and content.

The outcomes of the second online survey will be used to finalise the Curriculum Guidelines 4.0: the pan-European guidelines highlighting new ways of organising the learning experiences of individuals and groups for the manufacturing industry.

The key outcomes of the survey will also be presented at a high-level conference in Brussels on 26 November 2019 "Skills for Industry Strategy 2030".
