Call for new rector at Universidade Aberta, Lisbon

EUA member Universidade Aberta (UAb) in Portugal has launched a call for the position of Rector.

Candidates may submit their applications until 4 October 2019 in Portuguese to the President of the General Council by both registered mail and e-mail. Once the application period is closed, the election will take place on 4 November 2019, under conditions to be defined by the Electoral Commission.

The Rector will be elected by the General Council of the UAb for a four-year mandate between 2019 and 2023. Candidates must be recognised both in academic and social settings, have relevant professional experience related to the function, be fluent in Portuguese and be aware of the university reality, specifically in the Portuguese context.
