2023 European Student Card Survey now open

The 2023 European Student Card Survey is now open.

The European Student Card is one of the building blocks of the European Student Card Initiative promoted by Directorate General for Education and Culture of the European Commission (DG EAC). The ESC aims at facilitating student status verification across Europe, while promoting mobility and a common European identity for higher education students.

This year’s survey is targeted at students and higher education institutions (namely, IT Project Managers, International Relations Officers and other management and administrative staff) and aims at:

• Gathering information on the current state-of-play of the ESC deployment in the Erasmus+ Programme countries;
• Identifying the level of awareness on the ESC among key stakeholders and obtain relevant inputs to assess future improvements;
• Gathering the experience with the ESC among key stakeholders and their needs to access services (including online services) and on the use of ESCs; and
• Understanding the main obstacles encountered with the ESC that might hinder a country’s full deployment.

The survey will be open until 11 December 2023 included. The average time to complete the survey is 5 minutes, in function of the profile of the audience group.
