Registrations for EUA Institutional Evaluation Programme now open

30 March 2022

EUA’s Institutional Evaluation Programme (IEP), a quality assurance agency that supports universities in enhancing their strategic leadership and ability to manage change, is now accepting registrations for the 2022/23 round.

IEP was launched in 1994 with the aim of supporting higher education institutions to assess and improve the quality of their own activities. Since then, the programme has continued to develop and reflect the changing higher education and quality assurance landscapes, while remaining true to its original philosophy of providing enhancement-led institutional evaluations based on a European peer-review approach. IEP’s stable pool of experts represents different higher education stakeholders, including leaders of higher education institutions, higher education professionals and students.

To date, IEP has conducted more than 440 evaluations of diverse institutions in Europe and beyond. It continues to offer evaluations and support institutions in developing their strategic leadership and capacity to manage change.

IEP’s fit-for-purpose approach, extensive experience and highly qualified experts have allowed it to successfully conduct online evaluations over recent years as institutions have faced the impact of the pandemic. Thus, the programme’s approach and methodology have proved to be even more relevant in these challenging times.

Starting with the 2022/23 round, IEP will implement a blended evaluation format that combines a four-day site visit with a set of online meetings. This format has been developed based on experience gained during the Covid-19 pandemic and feedback from the IEP pool of experts and evaluated institutions. This new evaluation format will allow IEP to reduce its carbon footprint, in line with the transition towards carbon neutrality and sustainable societies and economies.

Information about how IEP works, how to register and testimonials can be found on the IEP website. The closing date for registrations is 3 July 2022.
