The European Commission is organising an event on the European Universities Initiative on 7 November 2019 in Brussels. It will be the kick-off for the 17 European university alliances that were selected through the first pilot call and an occasion to present their projects to the public.
In an information session, the European Commission will also present the second pilot call. This will be accompanied by speeches and high-level panel discussions with key representatives of the European Commission, including the new EU Commissioner responsible for higher education and research, respective EU member state ministers and representatives from higher education institutions. The event is meant to provide an open forum for discussion on the future of the initiative and its contribution to the establishment of a European Education Area by 2025.
Registrations are now open until 30 October for all interested participants. For those who are not able to attend, the event will also be web streamed and you can follow it on Facebook and Twitter.
EUA has been following the Initiative from the start and has contributed to its development through the stakeholder consultation group established by the European Commission.
