Plugging the information gap – facilitating recognition through access to external quality assurance results

27 June 2019 Time: 14:00 To 15:00

Webinar co-hosted by EUA, ENQA and EQAR

An important factor in smooth and efficient academic recognition is easy access to information about institutions and programmes, including whether they have undergone external quality assurance in line with the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area.

This webinar will explore how the recently launched Database of External Quality Assurance Results (DEQAR) aims to make this information more readily available by collecting in one place the reports and decisions published by quality assurance agencies that are registered on the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR).

Participants of the webinar will gain an insight into the rationale and uses of DEQAR, and hear from representatives of a national information centre (ENIC-NARIC) and a higher education institution about how the availability and transparency of information about external quality assurance can facilitate their daily work with regards to recognition processes.

Participants will have the possibility to join the discussion and ask questions during the webinar. The webinar will be of interest to a range of stakeholders, including institutional staff involved in quality assurance, recognition and mobility; staff of quality assurance agencies and ENIC-NARICS; and students.

Registration is free and open to all interested stakeholders.

DEQAR is produced and maintained by EQAR. EUA is a partner in the project, which is co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union. Further information about the project is available here.
