The UK Council for Graduate Education (UKCGE) in collaboration with the EUA Council for Doctoral Education (EUA-CDE) has organised an event under the title “The European landscape of doctoral education: the future of research collaboration”. The event focused on the different forms of collaboration in doctoral education. It addressed the common challenges faced by both researchers and leaders of doctoral schools across Europe, while also looking into opportunities for the further development of doctoral education. Participants also discussed how to continue collaboration and mobility for early career.

The event also provided opportunities for reflection on the recent survey results on doctoral education conducted by EUA-CDE, as well as for networking and peer discussions.

The event was addressed to academic leaders, doctoral education professionals and all other stakeholders interested in doctoral education from the UK and the rest of Europe.
