Thursday 20 May 14.00-15.00 CEST

The main responsibility for quality and quality assurance lies with higher education institutions. Thus, the sudden shift in the mode of operations caused by the Covid-19 crisis has raised questions around the effectiveness, relevance and flexibility of internal quality assurance arrangements.

This webinar will discuss how internal quality assurance has responded to the changes and what has been done to support university communities in addressing key challenges during the past year. It will also focus on what lies ahead for internal quality assurance. Notably, the webinar will highlight the key findings of the recent EUA report on “Internal Quality Assurance in times of Covid-19”.

Presentations and speakers:

  • Frank Niedermeier, Head of the Department for Higher Education Studies, Centre for Quality Development, University of Potsdam
  • Aisling McKenna, Director of Quality Promotion and Institutional Research, Dublin City University
  • Elena Cirlan, Policy and Project Officer, EUA

Chaired by Tia Loukkola, Director, Institutional Development, EUA

The webinar will be of interest to rectors and vice-rectors responsible for quality assurance, quality assurance managers in higher education institutions and quality assurance agency staff.

A recording of the webinar is available on our EUA Youtube Channel.
