The European University Association offered a webinar on the European Union’s digital policies and how universities can benefit from them. The webinar gave examples of European initiatives and funding opportunities to further this agenda as well as the opportunity to ask questions directly.

The ongoing process of digitalization is radically transforming our societies. The possibility for large scale disruption and renewal has stimulated a wave of initiatives from the European Commission. As its measures prioritise issues of competitiveness and innovation, universities can play a central role in delivering the digital policy agenda that Europe needs. Many opportunities are lying ahead, not least in the new Digital Europe Programme that will fund digital skills provision and facilitate technology transfer, but also instruments like the European Institute of Innovation and Technology.
