Call for hosts - 2020 EUA events

EUA is looking for member universities to host the following events in 2020:

European Learning and Teaching Forum

The Forum provides an opportunity for university and other stakeholders to meet and discuss developments in learning and teaching at European universities. The Forum builds on EUA’s work with its member universities on this topic. Alongside the bottom-up approach, the Forum makes use of EUA’s extensive policy work in European higher education.

  • Period: mid to late February
  • Event days: Thursday and Friday, with key player reception on Wednesday evening
  • Expected attendance: 300-350

EUA Annual Conference and General Assembly

EUA Annual Conferences are a unique platform for discussion, and an unrivalled opportunity for university leaders to network with peers from Europe. Through these events, university leaders can contribute to shaping policy at European level and gain valuable information on the latest trends and developments. The annual General Assembly of all EUA members is also an integral part of the Annual Conference.

  • Period: early to mid April
  • Event days: Thursday and Friday, with statutory and pre-conference meetings on Wednesday
  • Expected attendance: 400-450

The Call for Host is open to EUA member universities, located in the EHEA and able to offer:

  • An easily accessible location from across Europe (international airport hub)
  • Plenary and breakout rooms equipped with audio-visual equipment
  • Function areas for registration, catering and exhibition
  • Venues for social programme (e.g. reception, dinner)
  • Stable Wi-Fi network
  • Facilities for streaming and video recording
  • Technical support during the event
  • Support staff for the preparation and the duration of the event
  • Student helpers during the event
  • Capacity to handle online registration payments
