The deadline for registration to participate in the 10th EUA-CDE Annual Meeting, ‘Digitalisation: A game changer for doctoral education?’ is fast-approaching, with registrations closing on 31 May 2017.The event will take place on 15-16 June 2017 in Estonia and will be hosted by Tallinn University.

The Annual Meeting will bring together European stakeholders and highlight different perspectives on the changing role of doctoral education in the context of digitalisation, offering concrete examples across different disciplines to show how doctoral schools are adapting their practices to keep up with digitalisation. Against this background, the meeting will explore how universities can develop policies to support and guide early-stage researchers in their endeavours in a coherent and responsible manner.

The keynote speakers this year will include Mary Ritter of Imperial College London, United Kingdom, Stefania Milan of the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands, Fabienne Gautier on behalf of the European Commission and Oleg Shvaikovsky of NORTAL, a digital technology start-up based in Estonia. Two sets of parallel sessions will provide EUA-CDE members with the opportunity to share their own experiences and best practices related to digitalisation, covering topics such as data management, open science, doctoral supervision and careers, and skill development.

A full event programme and information on speakers in different plenary and parallel sessions is now available.
