University-Industry Interaction Conference, EUA members to present Science2Society, 22 June, London

Several EUA members will present outcomes of the Science2Society (S2S) project at the 2018 University-Industry Interaction Conference in London, on June 22nd.


Consortium members from KU Leuven, Aalto University and TU Darmstadt will represent the project which explores Technology transfer via Open Innovation Mechanisms.

CA technologies and CIT-UPC will present an example of a research collaboration framework for large enterprises that co-locate their research teams in local universities.

KU Leuven and SIEMENS Industry Software will present the intersectoral mobility open innovation approach implemented between them.

S2S partner Bax & Company will also showcase their workshop: User Journeys to improve an Online Knowledge Transfer Marketplace.

The University-Industry Interaction Conference is the annual conference of the University Industry Innovation Network (UIIN), through which UIIN brings close to 500 managers, practitioners and researchers in the field of entrepreneurial universities, collaborative innovation and university-industry interaction.

Now in its 6th year, this conference is one of the largest conferences in this field and provides its participants with 3 days of sharing knowledge and interacting with peers. In order to best facilitate this, the conference is built around a number of key principles.

About Science2Society:
The Science2Society project is improving the European Innovation system and allowing our societies to receive the beneficial impact of knowledge, through the analysis of new paradigms; such as Open Innovation and Open Science. This is achieved through the in-depth study of seven schemes: Co-Creation, Co-Location, Collaborative R&D Projects, Intersectoral Staff Mobility, Big Research Data Transfer, University Knowledge Transfer and Innovation Marketplace.

S2S is made up of 18 partners, among which are major companies such as FIAT, Atos and CA Technologies, and leading European research entities such as KU Leuven, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Aalto University and Fraunhofer.
