Julian Bauer

Julian BauerJulian Bauer joined EUA in September 2015 as a Policy and Project Officer in the Research & Innovation Unit. Before starting at EUA, he coordinated an interdisciplinary research unit at the University of Konstanz.

Julian holds a Master degree in History from the same institution. He finished his PhD in 2012 on the history of systems theory. Afterwards Julian pursued a postdoc project in Konstanz on the Austrian physicist Ernst Mach and his theory of thought experiments.

His main areas of interest at EUA include the European Research Area (ERA), Gender Equality, Horizon 2020, Open Science, Regional Innovation Strategies for Smart Specialisation (RIS3), Research Integrity and, last not least, the Retirement Savings Vehicle For European Research Institutions (RESAVER).
